I recently caught up with Jan and was admiring the beautiful bracelet she’d created for herself at a previous “girls’ night”. I loved the freshness and freedom expressed by the beads she’d used, and how she’d arranged them. The amazonite, labradorite, howlite and onyx beads were simply gorgeous together! “You know”, she said, “I didn’t plan it out at all. I was remembering a day on the beach watching my son surf – the colours of the sky, the sea and the sand – and I just went for it”.
I really love that. Jan’s bracelet is so much more than a pretty item of jewellery. It is a physical expression, and ongoing reminder, of a loving, happy memory.
Talking about the bracelet and its origins led to Jan researching further. As a result she discovered synchronicities around dates and significant events, leading to an even greater appreciation and enrichment of the entire memory. This is what I absolutely LOVE about working with gemstones – so often, they serve as messengers of hidden wisdom, commonly in the form of synchronicity.
After my mum and dad passed, I created a bracelet of aquamarine and rainbow moonstone. It feels like a comforting hug from the angels, and serves as a wonderful reminder of their love and support.
Perhaps someone is moving away and you’d like to create bracelets together. The beautiful bracelets you then wear, will be an ongoing connection with each other, regardless of the distance of separation, and an enduring reminder of the fun you had creating them. Would you like a memorial bracelet for a loved one who has passed? Do you feel you’d like to create something unique to serve as a reminder of your current focus and intentions on your path? Each bead selected can be symbolic and meaningful, unique to your needs. Crystal oracle cards can also be used to gain greater insight if you’d like to take the symbolism to the next level. Do you simply want to get creative and play with colour and charms?
If you would like to create your own special ‘reminder bracelet’, or you’d like to join with friends and get creative together, I’d love to join you, and facilitate the unleashing of your creativity. Depending where you live, we could arrange to do this ‘live’, or I could create something on your behalf, following your input, via Skype or messaging.
