Easy Way to Tie a Secure Bracelet Elastic Knot

Confession time: I’m comfortable behind the camera, not in front of it.

After multiple attempts… No. That really doesn’t seem to encapsulate the enormity of the effort . . .

After MULTIPLE attempts, spanning over three weeks, with hours and hours of re-takes and edits, trying to create a simple, (or so I thought), how-to video showing how to tie a knot in some elastic, I thought I’d enlist the help of my daughter.

We’d been blessed with a stunning sunny day in the middle of winter, and she was joining me for a stroll along the beach.

After our enjoyable walk, (brisk for me, as I trotted along to keep up with her long-legged strides), I whipped out my tripod, scissors and elastic in the hope of a brief filming session to finalise the video tutorial.

Complete hilarity ensued. Eventually I just got on with it, tied off the new bracelet, and she (somehow) managed to keep my hands in the middle of the shot.

I hope the video shows how easy it is to restring bracelets with fresh elastic, and you’re feeling inspired to breathe new life into any you may have lying in the back of your jewellery box.

If you have any queries at all, please feel free to reach out and contact me.

P.S. I now have a newfound respect for people who are able to talk directly into a camera with, (what appears), such ease. Kudos to you all.
