More than beauty

I recently caught up with Jan and was admiring the beautiful gemstone crystal bracelet she’d created at our bracelet creation evening.  I loved the freshness and freedom expressed by the beads she’d used, and how she’d arranged them. The amazonite, labradorite, howlite and onyx beads were simply gorgeous together!  “You know”, she said, “I didn’t plan it out at all. I was remembering a day on the beach watching my son surf – the colours of the sky, the sea and the sand – and I just went for it”.

I really love that. Jan’s bracelet is so much more than a pretty item of jewellery. It is a physical expression, and ongoing reminder, of a wonderful, happy memory.

Talking about the bracelet and its origins inspired Jan to research further into the area she’d spent that precious day with her son. As a result, she discovered synchronicities around dates and significant events, leading to an even greater appreciation and enrichment of the entire memory. This is what I absolutely love about working with gemstone crystals – so often, they serve as messengers of hidden wisdom, revealed via synchronicity.

After my parents passed, I created a bracelet of aquamarine and rainbow moonstone. I love it so much, as it feels like a comforting hug from the angels, and serves as a wonderful reminder of their love and support.
