YOUR CRYSTAL OF CHOICE
Sometimes it can be difficult to choose which gemstone you’d like to wear as a pendant, because they’re all so incredibly beautiful!
I spend hours sourcing and carefully selecting each crystal, studying every detail before choosing individual treasures, one by one, for their unique beauty and character.

I confess, my joy is in creating the pendants themselves, so I struggle to keep photographs of every cabochon and tumbled stone available on the site up to date!

YOUR CHOICE OF PRECIOUS METALS
Your pendant’s framework can be crafted from:

• 925 sterling silver
• solid 9-carat gold
• 14-karat gold-filled wire
• coated tarnish-free copper

Gold-filled wire is 14/20, meaning that 14K gold makes up at least 1/20 – 5% – of the overall weight, bonded to the core. Unlike gold-plated wire, where a thin layer of gold is electroplated onto the surface, gold-filled wire has a much thicker, bonded layer of gold, and is considerably more durable.

Combining metals is another beautiful option – for example, using predominantly sterling silver with accents of gold or copper for warmth and contrast.

A SACRED CREATIVE PROCESS
My creation time is sacred. Whenever possible, I venture into the heart of Nature, where the tranquil energy most supports my creative process. Creating amidst the free, open spaciousness of sky, wind and birdsong, I like to imagine each pendant carries the memory of the wild landscape in which it was born. Mindfully honouring the integrity and unique expression of each stone, I enter into quiet dialogue with it. My hands begin the slow, methodical dance of forming its supporting frame, all the while holding the highest intentions for you – the person who will wear and connect with the finished pendant.

THE ART OF INTEGRATION
Finally, to make this glorious artistic expression wearable, the individual ‘threads’ (wires) of the framework are gathered together and folded over to form the bail from which the pendant will hang. I find this process deeply symbolic – cohesively gathering and integrating the many facets of our lives, drawing upon our multiple strengths to support and frame the unique expression of our authentic selves.
To bring this glorious artistic expression to completion as a wearable pendant, the ends of these threads either encircle the lower part of the bail or are trimmed away. I love the metaphor in this too! Of the rich tapestry of our past experiences, some things are ready to be released, while others are retained to provide further strength and foundation to our being, enabling our lights to shine forth spectacularly as we journey ahead.

All pendants are handcrafted with the greatest of care to find the balance between artistic expression on the front and security and durability on the reverse. Often, a minimal frame works best, simply allowing the beauty of the stone to shine.

PRICING QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE
Because every pendant is a unique collaboration, the final price depends on the stone, its size and shape, the materials used, the intricacy of the design, and the time involved in creating it.

Once we’ve settled on the details of your vision, I’m able to offer a broad ballpark figure before beginning, but not a ‘set-in-stone’ quote. (I couldn’t resist the pun, sorry!)
I keep my pricing fair and transparent, so the final figure is calculated based on the materials used and the time I’ve spent lovingly bringing your piece to life.
